So, what is an original lino print?

Put simply, it’s unique. Not a reproduction or copy of anything.

My original linocuts are created as editions and each one is individually inked and handprinted from original hand carved piece or pieces of lino. They range from single block, to multiple block, to reduction lino prints.

The results are individual pieces that are true one offs, with a very human touch.

Reproduction prints are copies of an original piece

Unlike an original print, reproduction prints are copies of an original work, usually made through digital scanning and printing techniques. They can still be limited editions, depending on the reproduction process, but they are not originals.

I sometimes offer reproductions of my original work, as prints or greeting cards, for example.

You will always find everything at Purinto clearly labelled, so that you know exactly what you’re purchasing.
